Patsy Jean (Flake) Machia

Farmville……………………………………… Patsy Jean Flake Machia, age 73, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Patsy was a loving mother and woman. She will be remembered for her dedication for to an outstanding work ethic, the fun and fellowship of shag dancing, hanging out at the beach with her girlfriends, and being full of life. She knew where all the best restaurants were in eastern NC.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19, at 3:00 PM at the Farmville Presbyterian Church by Rev. Rocky Stone. A celebration of life will follow in the family life center at the church.

Mrs. Machia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Michael Machia; parents, Joe and Kathleen Flake; and sister, Betsy Marengo.

She is survived by her son, Byron Machia of the home; brother, Joe M. Flake Jr., and wife, Laraine of Novato, CA; niece, Gina Morengo; and nephews, Jonathan, Tyler, and Justin Flake all living in California.
