Macclesfield………………………………Peggy Lou Dail Flora, also known as Mama and Grammy, went to be with her Lord on October 19, 2020.
She was born on June 1, 1936 to Mable and Roy Dail and lived in the Little Washington area.
She graduated from Washington High School in 1954 and in January 21, 1955 married her true love and lifelong soul mate, Roy Flora. They were married for over 65 years.
Peggy was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was instrumental in all of her husband’s businesses and worked outside the home at various times but her home and family were her focus.
Peggy was a member of Monk Memorial Methodist Church. Over the years, she participated in many roles within the church but her joy was the prayer shawl project.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Jackie Flora Castle and husband, Robert D. Castle, Jr. of Belhaven, and Cindy Flora Lowery of Chocowinity. Four grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Castle, Ryan Michael Castle, Paige Lowery Jackson and husband, Travis Jackson, and Harley Michelle Lowery and her newest joy, great grandson, Riley Roy Jackson. Her brother, Joseph Dail and wife, Barbara, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mable Dail and older brother, Ralph Dail.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Forest Hills cemetery. Marty Greer will officiate.
