Rev. Orie Dean Dobbs

Farmville……………………………..It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reverend Orie Dean Dobbs. Reverend Dobbs was born on April 18, 1934, in Missouri to his beloved parents, Orville and Della Dobbs.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28 at 2:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Andy Moore. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M.

Dean was known for his deep passion and unwavering love for the Lord Jesus Christ. He spent many years traveling across the United States and around the world, faithfully spreading the Gospel. Throughout his life, he never wavered in his faith and touched countless hearts with the message he so dearly believed in. Dean was funny, charming, and loving, and he never judged anyone for their circumstances. He had a heart of gold and truly exemplified what it means to be a Christian.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Rubenia Faye Dobbs; his son, Bennie Dean Dobbs and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Brandy, Colton, and Jared Dobbs; and his great-grandchildren, Cadence and Fox Dobbs, and Alanah Pittman-Dobbs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Della Dobbs; his brothers, Albert, Raymond, Jerry, and Larry Dobbs; and his sisters, Elsie Dobbs Hodges and Fern Dobbs White.

Dean’s legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in all who knew him and in the many lives he touched through his ministry.
