Robert "Bobby" Linwood Baker

Robert (Bobby) Linwood Baker, age 85, of Greenville, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on February 5th, 2026.

Bobby was a lifelong resident of Greenville and will be remembered for his steady presence, kind heart, and deep devotion to his family. He lived a life rooted in love, tradition, and the simple values that matter most — caring for those around him and cherishing time spent with family.

He is survived by his brother, Steve Baker (wife Melody); and his three daughters, Mollie Stearns (husband Danny), Lorrie Tugwell (husband Terry), and Cindy Spargur.

Bobby was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Eric Pulliam, Adam Pulliam (wife Julie), David Smith (wife Dana), Charlie Tugwell (wife Layla), Terren Palmer (husband Marky), Aaron Spargur (wife Chelsea), and Jordan Spargur. He was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nina Hagerman Baker; his mother, Mavis Coward Baker; and his father, Linwood Franklin Baker.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville, North Carolina. Family visitation will follow at the cemetery immediately after the service. A celebration of life is scheduled for the same day at Marlins in Winterville, NC, with details to be announced in the coming days.

Bobby’s legacy of love and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
