Ruby Carol Moore Pierce, age 77, of Ayden, NC, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Ruby was born and raised in Walstonburg to the late Bruce and Bertha Moore. She graduated from Greene Central High School and attended Pitt Tech Community College school of nursing, where she met her former husband, Gerald S. Pierce Sr. (Jeanette) and moved to Ayden where she lived a full, happy and loving life.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Loretta Pierce Hardee and son, Gerald “Smokey” Pierce Jr.; three grandchildren, Dustin and Lora Ashley Hardee, and Graylen Pierce; sisters, Nancy Eastwood of Walstonburg, Peggy Lajueness and husband, George of Tallahassee, FL, Linda Corbitt and husband, William of Bell Arthur, and Joann Proctor of Fountain; brother, Harry “Buster” Moore of Farmville; several nieces and nephews all dear and special.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 21 at 11:00 A.M. at Little Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church, 55 Edwards Bridge Road, Ayden, NC 28530.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Little Creek OFWB Church, Marlboro OFWB Church, or King’s Cross Roads OFWB Church.
