Greenville………………………Shirley Whaley Eakes, age 76, died Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

                                                Graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Ayden Cemetery by Rev. Phillip Deitz.

                                                She is survived by her daughter, Tina Eakes Gilbert and husband, Robert of Greenville; grandchildren, Delanie Michelle Gilbert and Lexie Alana Gilbert; great grandchildren, Zachary, Bryson, and Mailee; sisters, Grace Vandiford of Morganton, Doris Plata of Raleigh; and Janice Tingen of Winnabow; sister-in-law, Bonnie Whaley of Ayden; several nieces and nephews; and special pet, Boots.
