                                                                                A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 13 at 4:00 P.M. at the Mercer Family Cemetery; 1555 Mercer Road, Walstonburg, NC, 27888,  by Rev. Matthew Galloway. The family will receive friends following the service.

                                                                                He is survived by his wife, Susie Mercer, of the home; daughter Bridgette Mercer of Wilson; sons, Wade Mercer of Wilson, Steve Ford and wife, Crystal of Walstonburg; sister-in-law, Lisa May and husband, Ervin; niece, Lindsey May; grandchildren, Amyah Ford, Taboris Bynum, Isabella Ford, Levi Ford, Matthew Mercer; great grandchild, Aubree Bynum; and several other nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sherry Mercer.
