Latta, SC...............Susan Diane Keel Byrd, 67, passed away Thursday, September 18,2025 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with burial in Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Farmville, NC, November 15, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Earl Keel and Ruby Price Keel. She loved her family, grandchildren, the beach, flowers, horses, and she enjoyed sewing and being a homemaker. Susan was strong in her faith, very forgiving and compassionate, and would always help anybody in need. She was a graduate of Farmville High School. She was loved and will be greatly missed by many.
Survivors include her son, Christopher Skinner (Nicole Noel) of Farmville, NC; grandchildren, Caleb Skinner, Lucas Skinner, Caden Hall, Ethan Skinner, Jacob Skinner, and Hudson Skinner; brother, Lee Keel; sister, Debra Vincent; sisters-in-law, Ellen Godbold of Latta, Florence Weatherford (Henry) of Latta, Dawn Peacock (Steven) of Latta, and Georgia Rouse (Jeff) of Greenville, NC; brother-in-law, Berry Byrd (Elizabeth) of Latta; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Ruby Keel; and her husband, Jerry Clifton Byrd.
