Therese Ann Bridgers Owens

Grimesland…………………..Therese Owens died unexpectedly on May 29, 2021 at the age of 56 while at home. She was born in Orlando, Florida on May 11, 1965, the daughter of Linwood Earl and Patricia Gurganus Bridgers.

                                                Therese married Kenneth Allen Owens and they celebrated 33 years of marriage on May 6th.  Therese is survived by her parents of Fountain; her husband of Grimesland; and their three children, Allen Michael Owens of Grimesland, Brandy Marie Owens of Grimesland, and Christopher Marshall Owens and wife, Amanda of Greenville; their three grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Owens, Ayleah Grace Owens, and Johnny Marshall Carliles; one brother, Wesley Neal Bridgers and wife, Jamie, and one sister, Vickie Bridgers Parker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as by her 15 year old poodle, TJ, who was her constant companion.

                                                Therese will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and friend to many.  She loved working with the elderly in her earlier life.  She always loved to laugh and make other people laugh.  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her and will forever be remembered in the many hearts she touched.

                                                A Celebration of Life cookout in her honor will be at her home (4708 Boyds Road, Grimesland, NC) Monday, June 7, at 4:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations and condolences may be offered to the family.
