William Brooks Eakes
Greenville…………………..William Brooks Eakes, age 69, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 12, at 3:00 P.M. at Ormondsville Original Free Will Baptist Church by Dr. Don Ribeiro. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home of Brad and Melissa Eakes, 5451 Ormondsville Road, Ayden, NC.
Mr. Eakes was the co-owner of Pool Table Shop/Tarheel Amusements. He loved horses and going on trail rides with them, fishing, and riding around in his truck. He especially loved his family and grandchildren and loved to joke and pick with others. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Casper and Louise Johnson Eakes; brother, James Harold Eakes, Sr. and sister, Mary Eakes “Sister” Holloman.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Eakes of the home; son, Brad Eakes and wife, Melissa of Ayden; grandchildren, Grayson and Anna Brooks Eakes; special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
