William "Ed" Edward Jones

Greenville…………William Edward “Ed” Jones, formerly of Farmville and Bayside Shores in Chocowinity, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday December 5, 2025.

            Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 9 at the Farmville First Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. by Rev. Graham Byrum. A viewing for the public will be held Monday, December 8 at Farmville Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Visitation with the family will be immediately following the service at the church.

            Mr. Jones was the former co-owner of North State Garment Company and was a member of the Farmville First Baptist Church.

            He is survived by his wife, Betty Nethercutt Jones of the home; daughter, Jerri Ross and husband, Johnnie of Winterville; son, Eddie Jones and wife, Lynn of Greenville; grandchildren, Connor Jones, Kaley Ross, Morgan Ross, and Walker Ross; great-grandchild, Collins Jones; sister-in-law, Kathy Conway; and lifelong friends, Tommy and Nancy Joyner.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Farmville First Baptist Church at P. O. Box 34, Farmville, N.C. 27828.
